From grief to guidance
Big congratulations to Sue Evans who has finished the tough six-month integrative cancer nutrition training with Dr Nina Fuller-Shavel.Sue, who also completed ION's three-day NTEC cancer course with Dr Granger in 2021, has now been recognised on the BANT (British Association for Nutrition and Lifestyle Medicine) register, allowing her to officially work with cancer clients.
The training was fuelled by Sue’s own personal experiences. Her father’s rapid decline and passing from asbestos-related (mesothelioma) just three weeks after diagnosis profoundly impacted her.
“My dad died 13 years ago at the age of 65. He should have been celebrating his retirement, it was heart-breaking.
I was pregnant at the time with my son, and it was tough knowing he would never meet his grandson. I cannot bring my dad back, but I can rest in the knowledge that I can provide nutritional advice and help other people who are struggling with cancer This training really comes from the heart, and I love what I do! I am so excited to start 2025 working in this area.”
