This week is cancer prevention action week 17th - 23rd February 2025.
Around 1.100 people are diagnosed in the UK every day with cancer and roughly 40% of those cases could be prevented.
Carbohydrate foods are digested and broken down into glucose sugars which enter the bloodstream. As these sugars enter the blood stream, insulin is produced via the pancreas. Our cells rely on insulin to absorb blood sugar for energy production in the brain, muscles and cells.
